Extended Congregate Care
Located in The Atrium on the second floor is our Garden Terrace or Extended Congregate Care (ECC) studio apartments. This floor, operating under Florida State License #0008340 is our high level assisted living and is designed to help residents maintain the highest level of independence possible. You or your loved ones’ healthcare needs will be monitored regularly by our professionally licensed nursing staff.
Services that are available;
Appointments and transportation: Our staff will assist you in making and keeping medical appointments, Complimentary scheduled transportation is available.
Bathing, grooming, dressing, and medication management, as needed, is included in the monthly fee.
Meals: three delicious meals are offered daily in our dining room. All residents are encouraged to take their meals in the dining room, if residents are unable to get to the dining room tray service is available. Limited special diets can be accommodated with written orders from your physician.
Recreation: Social and educational programs are offered daily for your pleasure. Birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays are celebrated monthly. Special events and themed parties are hosted regularly to add fun to daily lives. In addition, the Oasis Terrace allows you to enjoy fresh air on the screened-in terrace located right off the Garden Terrace.
Our physical therapists are highly trained to diagnose and treat movement dysfunction with the use of physical and mechanical methods. These methods often include the use of massage, heat, exercise, and light treatment.
Plans of care may include:
- Mobility training
- Exercise to increase strength, range of motion, and endurance
- Balance facilitation to assist in prevention
- Modalities to address pain management
- Facilitating proper body mechanics to assist in preventing future injury
Our occupational therapists treat those whose functional abilities have been impaired by illness, injury, or aging. They work with residents to encourage independence and improvement in activities required for daily life.
Areas of treatment within occupational therapy may include functional independence, maintenance of wellness, prevention of further disabilities, or increasing safety awareness.
Our nurses work with residents to take control of their diabetes. They help monitor blood glucose levels, administer and track insulin, plan menus, and provide education. Our hope is that our residents will have better control over their diabetes care with our assistance.
Our registered dietician designs our dietary program with the residents in mind. We follow physician orders to meet the needs of each resident while making sure the meals are enjoyable and full of flavor. We also administer oral supplements, as prescribed by physicians, and provide regular nutritional assessments by our on-site registered dietician.
